Officials identified 22-year-old Javier Torres and 59-year-old Erik Kiser as the victims who were injured after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Silverado Trail.
As per the initial information, the head-on crash took place at 6:55 a.m. on the Silverado Trail near Clover Flat Road. The investigation reports showed that Torres was traveling south on Silverado Trail in a 2006 Toyota Corolla when his vehicle went across the center line and into the way of a northbound 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV driven by Kiser.
Due to the impact, Kiser’s Jeep flipped over on Silverado Trail’s east shoulder. On arrival emergency responders removed Torres from his vehicle. Javier Torres, of Sonoma, received major injuries as a result of the accident. Torres was rushed to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center while 59-year-old Erik Kiser, of Napa, was taken to the Queen with moderate injuries. No other details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
