The El Paso Police Department reported a two-vehicle accident on Friday. The accident occurred near the intersection of Volcanic Avenue and Magnetic Street, west of highway U.S. 54.
According to the officials, a driver had failed to yield the right-of-way which caused a motorcycle to crash into the back of that vehicle. The officials have also reported that the motorcyclist was going at a fairly high speed at the time of the motorcycle collision.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 22-year-old Bakar Jovann Mosely, was thrown off his bike and incurred major injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later succumbed to them.
There has been no information released regarding the driver of the other vehicle. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal collision. There are no other details available at this time.
