On Monday, 22-year-old Allan Linarez, from Florida, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 in Slidell.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on I-10 near Gause Boulevard at about 11:30 a.m. The early reports indicated that Allan Linarez, of Panama City, was traveling westbound when his 2001 Chevrolet Suburban swerved off the highway and rolled over.
Linarez was not buckled up at the time of the accident. He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. At this time, it is unknown if the driver impairment contributed to the crash, but that a standard toxicology sample was taken for analysis. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
