A 21-year-old man receives serious injuries after his vehicle slammed into a home early Saturday morning in Oakland.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place just after 1 a.m. in the 5400 block of MacArthur Boulevard. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found a 21-year-old man in serious condition. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. His current condition remains unknown at this time.
A passenger in the vehicle left the scene after the collision. The preliminary reports showed that the driver was speeding west on MacArthur Boulevard close to 55th Avenue when the vehicle went off the road a block later. The incident caused damage to the home. It is unknown if alcohol contributed to the crash. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
