21-year-old David Arthur Garza dead after a high-speed crash on Southeast Side (San Antonio, TX)

Authorities identified 21-year-old David Arthur Garza as the man who lost his life following a high-speed crash Wednesday on Southeast Side.

The fatal single-car accident took place at 2:30 a.m. on Pecan Valley Drive near East Southcross. According to the investigation reports, the man was driving a black car northbound on Pecan Valley Drive and when he approached a curve, he failed to maintain control of the vehicle.

Just then, his vehicle crashed into a utility pole in an alleyway. David Arthur Garza succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Officers believe that speed and road conditions contributed to the crash. No other details are made available.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
