Authorities identified 21-year-old Alejandro Cordova as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Baton Rouge.
The fatal car crash took place on River Road near L’Auberge. According to the investigation reports, Cordova was driving a sports car at a high rate of speed along River Road, weaving in and out of other vehicles. He attempted to pass one vehicle and crashed into a pickup truck.
Cordova, of Queensbury Ave., succumbed to his injuries at the scene. On arrival, paramedics transported three occupants of the pickup truck to a hospital with unknown injuries, but they are expected to recover. No further details were provided.
An investigation is continuing.
