20-year-old Teriontae Walker and 40-year-old Aaron Griffon killed after a crash in west Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Officials identified 20-year-old Teriontae Walker and 40-year-old Aaron Griffon as the two men who lost their lives following a wrong-way collision on March 17.

The fatal car crash took place at about 9:30 p.m., in an area west of 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road. The preliminary investigation showed that a pickup was going east on Thomas when it went into the westbound lanes, and collided with a sedan that was traveling west.

Both men who died were in the sedan when the incident happened. The sedan driver was identified as 40-year-old Aaron Griffon, while the passenger was identified as 20-year-old Teriontae Walker. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Impairment was not believed to be involved in this collision. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
