20-Year-Old Jalisa Paden Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Tacoma on Wednesday afternoon.

The car left the road and struck the barrier as Johiadia Sealey was driving onto the on-ramp for northbound I-705, according to WSP. The car abruptly stopped, obstructing the left on-ramp lane.

Tacoma resident Jalisa Paden, 20 was a passenger in the car. She incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old man was also in the car at the time, according to WSP, but he was unharmed.

Following a fatal collision, the 26-year-old driver was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide.

The fatal crash is being investigated by the official. Additional information regarding the crash is not available currently.
