20-Year-Old April Julissa Cavazos Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Nacogdoches County (Nacogdoches County, TX)

According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Tuesday night. 

The officials stated that a 20-year-old woman got into a verbal fight with a man which turned into a fatal accident. 

The crash happened on the southbound lanes of U.S. 59 north of Nacogdoches on the 16000 block when 20-year-old April Julissa Cavazos was struck by a vehicle.

Before the crash, Cavazos got into a physical fight with 21-year-old James Lopez. 

Officials revealed that Lopez was found 2.1 miles away from the scene in an intoxicated state. 

Lopez has been charged with assault and public intoxication and held with a bond of $3,000.

No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the DPS.
