2-year-old boy died after an auto-pedestrian accident in Nevada County (Nevada County, CA)

A 2-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Nevada County.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place on Still Road, west of Wolf Road at around 9:00 a.m. in a driveway at a home. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit a child for unknown reasons.

Family members rushed the boy to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital where he later died of his injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. Officials believe that drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash. No further details are available.

The incident remains under review.
