2 Police Officers Injured In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

According to the Bakersfield Police, a motor vehicle crash occurred following a pursuit. 

The officials stated that two Bakersfield Police officers attempted to pull over a reported stolen vehicle in the 300 block of South Union Avenue. 

The chase started at around 11:30 a.m when the driver of the vehicle sped off towards eastbound Highway 58. 

The police stated that an officer lost control of the patrol vehicle at the earthbound onramp to the highway and crashed into the tree. Both the officers needed to be reduced out of the vehicle. 

One of the officers suffered moderate injuries and another officer suffered minor injuries. 

The vehicle of the suspect was found abandoned by the California Highway Patrol officers. 

The identity of the officers was not released by the officials.
