Two people lost their lives following a rollover crash Tuesday morning in Thousand Palms.
As per the initial information, the fatal accident took place at about 9:15 a.m. on Varner Road near Monterey Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle lost control, crashed and flipped over for undetermined reasons. The reports also revealed that a woman was ejected from the vehicle into the roadway due to the impact.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. A child, who was not buckled up at that time, also died in the collision. Varner Road between Monterey Avenue and Cook Street was shut down while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
