2 people killed after a three-vehicle wreck on IH-37 in San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

On Sunday, two people lost their lives following a wrong-way crash in San Antonio.

As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle wreck took place in the 11400 block of IH-37 at about 2:30 a.m. The early reports showed that the driver of a 2013 Ford Focus was going the wrong way when their vehicle slammed into a 2011 Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Ford was heading northbound in the southbound lanes when the accident happened. Due to the impact of the collision, the Corolla was sent into a tractor-trailer before ending up in a grassy median.

The Ford also came to a stop in a grassy median. Both drivers suffered major injuries and were declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identities of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
