On early Tuesday morning, two people lost their lives following a two-vehicle collision in Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash was reported at about 12:05 a.m. on Interstate 15. The early reports revealed that a white Honda Accord was going south on Interstate 15 in a reckless manner. The car was going at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a tractor-trailer just south of Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
The passenger in the Honda was ejected from the car as he was not buckled up at the time of the accident. He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the Honda was rushed to UMC Trauma in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck remained unharmed in the accident. Officers suspect that impairment was involved in the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
