On early Monday, two people lost their lives following a multi-vehicle accident in Rosharon.
As per the initial information, the fatal head-on collision involving multiple vehicles took place at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of SH 288. The early reports showed that a total of four vehicles were involved in the wreck. The incident seemed to be caused by a wrong way driver.
Two people were declared dead at the scene by the officials. It is unknown which vehicles the deceased occupied. It is also unclear if there were any other injuries. The scene was cleared and the highway was back open at about 7:30 a.m., authorities reported. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
