2 People Injured In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)

According to the Rural Metro Fire crews, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Friday. 

The officials stated that a car was found on Washington Pike at Adair Road in East Knox County with the driver partially ejected from the windshield. 

According to the spokesperson Jeff Bagwell, the driver was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center via helicopter with serious injuries. 

The passenger on the vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. 

The officials did not reveal the identity of the victims. 

Officers reported that another vehicle was involved in the crash but was not injured. 

The Rural Metro Police are yet to determine whether drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
