2 people injured following a wrong-way collision on I-15 northbound near Jean (Jean, NV)

Two people received injuries following a wrong-way collision early Friday morning on I-15 northbound near Jean.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at about 2:45 a.m. on March 11. Authorities were reported of a wrong-way motorist on I-15 near St. Rose Parkway. The early reports showed that a blue Ford F-150 heading southbound in the northbound lanes eventually collided with a semi-truck near Mile Marker 15, just north of Jean.

The semi caught fire due to the impact. Both motorists were transported to University Medical Center with non-critical injuries. Impairment was suspected on behalf of the Ford driver. Northbound I-15 was shut down near Jean during the investigation. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
