2 people injured after a two-vehicle collision in Walker (Walker, MI)

On early Tuesday afternoon, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Walker.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Wilson Avenue and Leonard Street in Walker after getting reports of a two-vehicle accident. The early reports revealed that a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a US Postal Service Vehicle were involved in the crash.

On arrival, emergency personnel transported both drivers to the hospital with non-critical injuries. A power pole with crosswalk lights was also knocked down due to the wreck. Traffic was diverted and the drivers were asked to avoid the area as crews worked to clear the scene. No further information has been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
