On Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle accident caused injuries to two people in North Knox County.
As per the initial information, the serious head-on crash took place in North Knox County. Just before 8 a.m. a Toyota Tacoma was heading west on East Emory Road approaching Crown Road when it ran off the roadway for unknown reasons, collided with a mailbox and veered onto the other side of the road. Just then, it crashed into a Honda CRV traveling east on East Emory Road.
Both drivers sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The Knox County Rescue Squad said that two people were trapped following the accident. At this time, it is unknown how many people were occupying the two vehicles. The driver of the Toyota, identified as William Pierce, has been accused of failure to exercise due care. No other details are available.
