On Saturday night, two people sustained injuries following a traffic collision in Santa Rosa.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 7:10 p.m. on Piner Road at the railroad tracks in Santa Rosa. Once responders arrived, they transported the drivers of both vehicles to a hospital with serious, but non-fatal injuries. Reports revealed that the incident did not involve any SMART trains.
Authorities shut down the Eastbound Piner Road at Bay Village Circle for approximately an hour. One fire unit responded to the crash scene. There were no train delays after the accident. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
