On Thursday, two people suffered serious injuries after a drunk driver crashed into the back of their vehicle on the North Side.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle accident took place shortly before 11 p.m. along W. Mistletoe Avenue and San Pedro Avenue. The preliminary reports revealed that the victims were sitting in the front seat when an SUV slammed into their vehicle.
The force of the collision caused the car to crash into a truck. Both victims in the car were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver who caused the crash was charged with DWI. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
