On early Wednesday morning, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Memphis.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck took place on I-40W at mile marker 1C.8. Officials received a call about the crash at about 4:18 a.m. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed one person to Regional One, and another person to Methodist North with unspecified injuries.
All westbound lanes were shut down and the right shoulder was blocked as crews worked at the scene. The left shoulder remained open, officials said. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
