On Thursday evening, two people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in South Los Angeles.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash was reported at about 8:00 p.m. on the southbound 110 Freeway near the 105 Freeway. The early reports showed that a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer and multiple other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The officer was thrown from his motorcycle and possibly hit the freeway’s center divider after the crash. The officers and one other person received injuries as a result of the wreck. On arrival, emergency crews rushed both the victims to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities are looking for a white convertible Sedan who fled the scene after the crash.
All lanes of the southbound Harbor Freeway in the vicinity of the crash were shut down for an unknown amount of time while crews worked at the scene. The traffic was rerouted onto the Glenn Anderson Freeway. The identities of the injured victims have not been revealed. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
