Two people suffered injuries following a high-speed crash early Thursday morning in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision was reported at about 12:32 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Virgil Avenue. The early reports showed that a vehicle was speeding when it crashed into three parked cars. Due to the impact, the driver and passenger of the vehicle were pinned inside.
On arrival, first responders extricated the driver and passenger who were briefly pinned inside their silver Sedan. The man and woman were taken by ambulance to a local area hospital in stable condition. Three parked vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the wreck.
According to the residents, the area is known for vehicles heading quickly southbound on Virgil and have requested for stop signs as there is currently no stop sign at the northern intersection. No further details were provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
