On Thursday evening, two Balentine Ambulance Service crew members incurred minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Bossier City.
The early reports showed that an ambulance was traveling north on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway close to the Shreveport-Barksdale Highway bridge when it T-boned the truck that was attempting to cross the parkway to exit to Westgate. The impact of the crash caused the ambulance to flip. The reports also revealed that it came to a stop on the driver’s side.
There were only two crew members in the ambulance at the time of the collision. They were transported to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment of minimal injuries. Bossier City police shifted the truck’s driver to the same Shreveport hospital. They confirmed that he will be charged with one count of DWI and two counts of vehicular negligent injury. No other details are available.
The crash remains under review.
