The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a truck and a passenger vehicle that injured two people. The crash happened on US-12 and Union Road in Porter Township on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 44-year-old Marcellus woman was traveling east on US-12. She attempted to turn left in front of a semi-truck.
The westbound semi struck the passenger vehicle and continued into a power line pole and sign.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the crash. The crash is being investigated.
