On Tuesday afternoon, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Reno.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash was reported at about 3:45 p.m. on S. McCarran Boulevard and Caughlin Parkway. The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle was traveling southbound on McCarran turning right on Caughlin when the driver of a Range Rover crashed into it from behind.
The force of the collision caused the vehicle to flip across the intersection. The Range Rover came to a stop in a planter at the corner of the intersection. The driver of the Range Rover failed to slow for the turning vehicle. Two people from the Range Rover were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
No one inside the flipped vehicle was hospitalized. It is unknown if speed contributed to the accident. Lanes were restricted in the area as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
