2 people hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in Santa Clarita (Santa Clarita, CA)

Two people were taken to the hospital after a traffic accident Saturday in Santa Clarita.

As per the initial information, the authorities immediately responded to the Vasquez Canyon Road, east of Bouquet Canyon Road at around 12 p.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The early reports showed that a vehicle plunged over 100 feet over the side of Vasquez Canyon Road.

On arrival, responders found the vehicle about 200-300 feet off the side and rolled over. The occupants of the vehicle had managed to free themselves from the car on their own. They were transported to the hospital. The extent of injuries sustained by the victims remains unknown at this time. No further details are available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
