On late Wednesday, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Farragut.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck took place on Northshore Drive. The early reports showed that two cars crashed head-on into each other causing one person to be ejected. Another person also received injuries as a result of the accident.
On arrival, emergency crews transported both the victims to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of the injured was in critical condition, officials reported. Northshore Drive near River Sound Drive was shut down for just over an hour as crews worked at the scene.
The closure was announced Wednesday at about 5:15 p.m. The road was reportedly back open at 6:30 p.m. The identities of the injured victims have not been revealed at this time. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
