2 people hospitalized after a motorcycle crash near Yakima (Yakima, WA)

On Wednesday, two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision around Yakima city limits.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place a little before 10 a.m. on Interstate 82. The preliminary investigation showed that a Chrysler 200, driven by a 30-year-old female from Selah, was east on I-82.

At the same time, a 75-year-old man from Yakima was driving a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic with a 73-year-old female passenger. Both the riders were wearing helmets following DOT regulations. Around Exit 31, the Chrysler merged into the left lane and crashed into the Harley-Davidson.

On arrival, emergency personnel transported the motorcycle riders to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The Chrysler driver remained unharmed in the accident. She was charged with improper lane usage, the stated cause of the crash. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
