Two people suffered injuries following a head-on collision in Peoria.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place on Northern Avenue between 99th and 103rd avenues. The early reports showed that two vehicles crashed head-on into each other for reasons that are yet to be known. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed one of the drivers to the hospital with life-threatening injuries while the other driver was transported with non-fatal injuries.
Northern Avenue was shut down between 99th and 103rd Avenues as crews worked at the scene. The events that have led up to the crash remain unclear at this time. The identities of the injured victims have not been revealed. No other information has been provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
