A multi-vehicle wreck in Indian wells left two people injured. The collision occurred on Highway 111 at Club Drive at around 1:45 p.m.
Multi vehicles were involved in the collision, said a Cal Fire spokesperson. The cause of the crash was believed to be alcohol. One victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Two others suffered injuries but refused medical help.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s spokesperson Sgt. Brandi Swan said the driver was in the white Ford utility vehicle.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Traffic was affected in the area. All lanes remained shut until 3:15 p.m.
