The Corpus Christi Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday morning. The accident happened close to the Brawner Parkway and Carroll Lane at around 3 a.m.
According to Police, a black sedan carrying a driver and passenger was travelling at a high rate of speed when it struck a traffic pole, a bus stop bench, and a light pole, rolled over multiple times and came to rest upside down in the yard of a Carroll Lane residence.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. They have not been identified at this time. Investigators claim that after being extricated from the sedan, a second passenger who was in the backseat suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
