2 people died and one in critical condition after a car slams into a tree (Burlingame, CA)

Two people lost their lives while another was left in critical condition after a car rams into a tree on Monday morning.

As per the initial information, Burlingame police actively responded at 12:04 a.m. on reports of a crash at El Camino Real and Broadway. On arrival, police learnt that the driver of a 1998 Mercury had smashed into a tree following which the vehicle had rolled over. The reports further revealed that two occupants of the car were partially ejected from the vehicle due to the impact.

One of the them died of their injuries at the scene. Two people were rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where one was later pronounced dead. The third person is currently listed in critical condition. The reports also stated that wet conditions and speed played their role in the crash. No one was reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

The crash remains under review.
