2 people dead killed after a two-vehicle accident in Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ)

Two people who were riding a three-wheeled motorcycle lost their lives after a suspected DUI crash Saturday in Apache Junction.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Superstition Boulevard and Ironwood Drive. The preliminary reports showed that the victims, a man and a woman, were heading eastbound on Superstition Boulevard when their motorcycle was hit by a Sedan that went through a red light at the intersection of Ironwood Drive.

Officials believe that the Sedan driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. The driver of the Sedan was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. The identities of the victims have not released at this time. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
