2 people dead after a rear-end collision in Sunland-Tujunga area (Los Angeles, CA)

On Monday afternoon, two people lost their lives following a rear-end collision in Sunland-Tujunga area.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on the westbound 210 Freeway. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle slammed into the rear of a semi-trailer truck for reasons that are yet to be known. Officials confirmed that two people in the vehicle were killed as a result of the wreck.

The driver of the truck remained unharmed in the collision. According to the responders, the front-end of the vehicle was below the trailer near the La Tuna Canyon Road exit. The westbound lanes were closed moments before 5 p.m. as crews worked at the scene. Some lanes were back open later. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under review.
