2 people critically injured in Buckeye moped crash (Buckeye, AZ)

On Wednesday night, two people suffered major injuries when their moped collided with a median near Indian School Road and Sunrise Lane in Buckeye.

According to officers, a man and woman were going southbound on the moped when they failed to negotiate a road curve and crashed into the median. Reports revealed that both the riders were not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. On arrival, emergency crews rushed both the victims to the hospital in extremely critical condition. The identities of the victims have not been revealed at this time.

The crash remains under active review.
