2 people critically injured following a traffic collision in Victorville (Victorville, CA)

Two people were hospitalized following a traffic collision Tuesday in Victorville.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident was reported at around 8:55 p.m. in the 11600 Amargosa Road in front of BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, south of Bear Valley Road. The preliminary reports showed that a white Ford Transit cargo van and a black 2015 Nissan Altima were involved in the crash.

Both the vehicles had major damage due to the collision. On arrival, emergency crews removed a female driver who was pinned in the Nissan’s driver’s seat. It took approximately half an hour for the rescuers to extricate her.

The victim was then flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition. A second passenger of the Nissan was also airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries. A third person from Nissan and the Ford’s driver incurred only minimal injuries. No other information is available.

The accident remains under investigation.
