2 Officers Injured Seriously In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Cobb County (Cobb County, GA)

According to the Cobb County Police Department, a multi-vehicle crash was reported in Cobb County.

Authorities reported that 2 police officers were injured in the crash.

Officer Gary Marsicek was making the arrest of a driver on I-75 North near Barrett Parkway. 

A 2021 Honda Accord struck a police vehicle, continued driving and struck another vehicle.

Officer Gary Marsicek was pinned between the second vehicle and a guardrail due to the crash.

He was transported to Kennestone Hospital sustaining serious injuries.

According to police officials, Officer Gary Marsicek is now in a stable condition.

The driver of the Honda Accord was identified and arrested.

He did not sustain any injuries.

 What caused the crash and if alcohol was a factor is still unclear.

The crash remains under investigation by the CCPD.
