A multi-vehicle pile-up hospitalized two people on San Angelo’s busiest intersections.
Officers were sent to the intersection of Knickerbocker Road and Bryant Boulevard for reports of a three-vehicle accident. On arrival, crews shut down the intersection as they worked to clear the area and investigate the cause of the crash.
As per the preliminary reports, an older model silver Dodge pickup was heading north on Bryant Boulevard when it tried to make a left turn onto Knickerbocker Road. The driver of the Dodge pickup failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with a dark color Dodge pickup that was going south on Bryant Boulevard.
The force of the crash pushed the pickup into a white Chevy pickup. On arrival, medics transported the two occupants of the dark Dodge pickup to the hospital for further treatment, with only one transported through ambulance. Police confirmed a citation to the driver of the older Dodge pickup for failure to yield the right of way.
The incident remains under investigation.
