2 Died, 1 Injured In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Dallam County (Dallam County, TX)

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a motor vehicle crash that killed two Texas Panhandle area first responders. 

The head-on collision involving a Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department Vehicle and a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer on US 54 in Dallam County on October 4, Tuesday at around 8:40 p.m. 

According to the preliminary investigation, the truck tractor towing the semi-trailer was traveling northeast, while the Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling southwest. As the truck tractor attempted to pass an unknown vehicle, it struck the Chevrolet Tahoe head-on. 

The firefighters inside the Tahoe died in the crash. 

The truck driver was transported to a hospital in Dalhart with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
