According to the Washington State Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred on Saturday in which eight people were involved.
The officials stated that the crash happened on the Interstate 5 express lanes near the Pike Street exit.
A 2021 Jeep along with a 2016 Honda Civic stopped for traffic. A 1996 Nissan 200SX stopped abruptly following a 19-year-old Shoreline man who failed to stop in the traffic. The Shoreline man hit the Nissan and a chain of crashes occurred.
A 33-year-old Bellingham man and a 31-year-old woman suffered injuries from the crash.
The woman was rushed to Harborview Medical Center by the medical personnel.
Police stated that impairment was not the factor involved in the crash and all the drivers were following the safety protocols.
