According to the Antioch Police Department, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Antioch on Friday.
The crash happened at Manzanita Way and Sycamore Drive, near Contra Loma Park at around 5 p.m.
According to the Con fire officials, five of them suffered major injuries and were rushed to the local hospital. However, it is unclear what caused the accident.
The identity of the victims was not revealed by the Antioch Police following the collision.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the Deputies.
