19-year-old Santino Marks died after a car crash on Maricopa overpass (Maricopa, AZ)

Authorities identified 19-year-old Santino Marks as the man who died after a solo-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on the John Wayne Parkway Bridge in Maricopa.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place in the northbound lanes of John Wayne Parkway, just north of Honeycutt Avenue at about 8:50 a.m. The early reports showed that a Chevrolet Corvette slammed into the concrete barrier to the bridge. The reports also showed that car was wrecked due to the collision.

Emergency responders performed life-saving measure on Marks, but he died at the scene. Marks was the sole occupant of the car. According to witness reports, the Corvette swerved from the far lane across traffic into the bridge barrier. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
