A 19-year-old man sustained injuries after he allegedly slammed a three-wheel roadster into trees early Sunday along the side of a San Marcos road.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place in the westbound lanes of West San Marcos Boulevard near Discovery Street. The early reports showed that a bystander located him at 3:31 a.m. in a Vanderhall Venice roadster in the westbound lanes of West San Marcos Boulevard near Discovery Street.
The bystander called 911 for help and the San Marcos Fire Department discovered the victim fallen over the vehicle’s steering wheel. The victim was then rushed to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. His condition remains unknown at this time. The reports also revealed that two of the roadster’s three wheels were separated with one found in a nearby parking lot and the other in the roadway. No other details are available.
The incident remains under review.
