Louisiana State Police reported a single motor-vehicle crash early Monday morning that claimed the life of a 19-year-old from Converse.
The victim was identified as Jack B. Dobbs, 19, who was driving a 2022 Buick Encore west on Louisiana Hwy 174 at about 3:30 a.m.
Dobbs was thrown from the car when the vehicle veered off the road and rolled over several times.
Dobbs was declared dead at the scene.
Police said that he was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
A toxicology sample was collected and sent for analysis.
The crash is under investigation.
