19-year-old Clovis man died following a two-car crash in Fresno County (Fresno County, CA)

A 19-year-old Clovis man riding a Toyota RAV4 as a passenger lost his life following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on North Avenue.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place minutes after 12:30 a.m. at the crossing of Temperance Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that the Toyota RAV4 failed to stop at the intersection and went into the path of a Toyota Corolla. The Corolla then hit the RAV’s passenger side, causing it to flip into a dirt field.

The RAV passenger was ejected from the vehicle due to the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. The two drivers received injuries. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time. The passenger was reportedly not buckled up at the time of the crash. DUI was not believed to be a factor in this fatal incident. No other details are available.

The accident remains under investigation.
