18-year-old Rob Nolan dead after a motorcycle crash in the Oakland Hills (Oakland, CA)

Officials identified 18-year-old Rob Nolan as the man who was killed after a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in the Oakland hills.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash occurred in the 5900 block of Shepherd Canyon Road. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle driven by Nolan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a car from behind.

He was ejected from the motorbike due to the impact. Nolan was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The driver of the car remained unharmed in the accident. No other information is available.

An investigation is continuing.
