According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in Grass Valley. Officials stated that the collision occurred on Rough and Ready Highway near Greenwood Road.
Authorities confirmed that one person died and another person was injured due to the motor vehicle accident. A man was traveling westbound on the highway when he suddenly crossed over the centerline. He entered directly into the path of a woman’s Subaru.
As a result of this, the man suffered major head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The woman also suffered injuries due to the collision.
Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as causes that might have resulted in the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
