According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Deaf Smith County. The crash happened west on US-60 at around 6:50 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro and an 18-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the Chevrolet overcorrected the steering, causing the car to enter a side skid, and rolled over.
18-year-old Jayden Villanueva was identified as the driver of the Chevrolet who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still being investigated by the authorities. According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved.
